Dancing Under the Moonglow

Does it have to be this grand thing?

Maybe it’s just to hear the birds sing.

Is there some master plan,

Beyond feeling your feet in the sand?

It could be to find peace within,

Being comfortable in your own skin.

Must it be well-known,

Or can it quietly be yours alone?

Maybe it’s to simply be;

To walk through the forest and hug a tree.

It must go beyond acquiring wealth;

If you’re content being yourself.

Must you live your life on duty?

Or will you rest inside its beauty?

Purpose aligns all that you do,

Even when admiring the colour blue.

Until the day we fully know,

Let us dance beneath the moon glow.
